About
Established in January 2000, the Salinas Farmers Market has been a staple of our community for over two decades. Originally operated by the Oldtown Salinas Foundation under the leadership of Joel Panzer and Frank Savino, the market has entered an exciting new chapter. Beginning in July 2026, the Salinas Valley Chamber of Commerce Foundation has assumed ownership of the Downtown Salinas Farmers Market, a premier regional destination, the market draws thousands of visitors to downtown Salinas every Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The Foundation is committed not only to preserving the market's longstanding success, but also to strengthening its role as a vibrant community gathering place that celebrates local agriculture, entrepreneurship, and culture.
